Overview
The National FFA Organization is seeking college students or recent college graduates pursuing degrees in media and production, agricultural communications, telecommunications, or a closely related field to share stories from the 99th National FFA Convention & Expo, which runs from October 19‑24, 2026 in Indianapolis.
The FFA Newsroom Video Editor Intern will gain inside access to one of the largest conventions in the country, experience a fast‑paced newsroom, receive edit coaching from professional editors, and have the opportunity to build a portfolio with news and social stories distributed to a potential audience of more than a million people, including the organization’s 1,027,273+ members.
Responsibilities
The intern must arrive in Indianapolis on Monday, October 19 and work a minimum 10‑hour shift daily from Tuesday, October 20 through Saturday, October 24. Responsibilities include editing newsroom stories that will play on the FFA Live! streaming broadcast, the organization’s website, and social media channels.
Interns will work on stories as assigned each day, navigate the Indiana Convention Center and Lucas Oil Stadium to conduct interviews and create content, and may travel for extended periods of walking, standing, and carrying equipment.
Benefits
The National FFA will cover travel expenses, including airfare and hotel, provide all meals from Monday upon arrival to Saturday, and offer a $500 project stipend. The internship may be eligible for college credit; consult your school’s advisor.
Qualifications
College student or recent graduate pursuing a degree in media and production, agricultural communications, telecommunications, or a closely related field.
Professionalism and at least two years of experience shooting video on DSLR cameras.
Experience with Panasonic GH6/7 is a bonus.
Prior experience and knowledge of the agricultural industry or National FFA is a bonus; a current or former FFA member is not required.
