WordPress - Web Site Editor &/or Designer

Children Mission Charity Organization (CMCO) is seeking a skilled and passionate WordPress Web Designer and/or Editor to help us update and enhance our current website. As a volunteer, you will play a meaningful role in strengthening our mission to educate, feed, and empower vulnerable children in Southwest Uganda. We are looking for someone who can: Refresh our existing WordPress site to make it more engaging, user‑friendly, and visually appealing Improve navigation, layout, and overall user experience Ensure the site reflects our current programs, needs, and organizational growth Help optimize pages for clarity, storytelling, and donor engagement Support us in presenting our mission in a way that inspires visitors to get involved This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who wants to use their creative and technical skills to make a real impact in the lives of children and communities in need. Volunteer Time Commitment We are looking for a volunteer who can partner with Children Mission Charity Organization (CMCO) in two phases: an initial website refresh and then light, ongoing monthly updates. Initial Website Refresh (Short‑Term Commitment) During the first phase, we hope for someone who can dedicate a bit more time upfront to help us: Update and modernize our current WordPress website Improve layout, navigation, and user experience Refresh content to reflect our current programs, projects, and mission needs Add new images, stories, and branding elements Ensure the site is engaging, user‑friendly, and aligned with CMCO’s growth Estimated time: A few hours per week until the refresh is complete (flexible based on the volunteer’s availability). Ongoing Monthly Updates (Long‑Term Commitment) Once the main refresh is finished, we are looking for someone who can continue to support CMCO with: Posting new project photos and stories Uploading monthly updates and news Making small adjustments as our programs evolve Estimated time: About 1–2 hours per month .
