Atrium is seeking on behalf of our client a Marketing Communications Specialist based in Downtown Fort Lauderdale.

Position: Marketing Communications Specialist

Location: Downtown Fort Lauderdale

Employment Type: Full-time

Compensation: 60k-70k


Position Overview

The Marketing Communications Specialist will play a key role in developing and executing strategic marketing and communication initiatives to enhance the firm’s visibility and brand presence. This position involves creating compelling content, managing social media platforms, and supporting business development efforts. The role requires close collaboration with attorneys, practice groups, and other internal teams to ensure consistent and effective messaging.

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.


Responsibilities

  • Create and refine marketing and communications materials, including press releases, client updates, attorney bios, articles, and newsletters to enhance firm visibility and positioning
  • Support submissions for industry rankings, awards, and editorial opportunities, including materials for Chambers, ABA, Benchmark Litigation, and similar platforms
  • Oversee social media activity from start to finish, including content development, visual assets, scheduling, and posting to increase engagement and brand presence
  • Ensure all digital and print firm profiles are current, accurate, and aligned with overall branding and messaging standards
  • Assist with the preparation of pitch materials, proposals, and RFP responses tailored to prospective clients and business opportunities
  • Update and maintain marketing collateral such as practice group content and attorney biographies to ensure consistency across all platforms
  • Conduct competitive and market research to support business development efforts and identify growth opportunities
  • Track award deadlines, submissions, and key marketing initiatives through a structured calendar to ensure timely execution
  • Collaborate with attorneys and internal teams across offices to maintain consistent messaging and support firm-wide initiatives
  • Provide ongoing support for client-facing communications and initiatives that enhance relationships and business development efforts


Required Experience/Skills

  • 3+ years of experience in marketing communications or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with proven experience in content creation.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience supporting business development efforts, including proposals, pitches, and RFPs.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing, social media management, and content strategies.


Preferred Experience/Skills

  • Law firm or professional services industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in graphic design tools and content management systems.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and analytics tools.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong research and analytical skills to support marketing and business development initiatives.


Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., digital marketing, social media strategy) preferred but not required.
