Vice President of Media Relations

Client Side - Financial Services / Full Time

3x a week in office NYC

Up to $160,000 base + discretionary bonus

Responsibilities:

• Manage official external communication, media and public relations alongside the Head of Comms.
• Foster relationships with relevant press channels.
• Media train internal executives, control handle crisis, escalations and sensitive comms to drive positive outcomes.
• Work directly on press releases, statements, and key messaging.
• Work hand-in-hand with marketing and other internal teams.

Skills and Experience:

• Minimum of 6 years of strong PR, Media Relations or External Comms experience.
• Open to Agency or Brand side - Financial Services experience is a must and non-negotiable.
• Strong understanding of the Financial Services space, its vocabulary and topics and ideal media materials.
• Ability to manage multiple projects at once.
• Comfortable with working with executive leaders.
• Fast leaner, professional, do-er and self-managing.
