Job Description

Manage and maintain the firm's docketing and calendaring system to ensure deadlines are met. Oversee court filings, including electronic filings, ensuring compliance with court rules and procedures. Provide guidance to attorneys and staff on procedural requirements for filings and deadlines. Monitor and update case deadlines and schedules, communicating changes to relevant teams. Train and mentor staff on docketing and filing systems. Work closely with attorneys to support litigation and transactional matters. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of legal proceedings and filings. Stay informed of updates to court rules and procedures, ensuring the firm's practices remain compliant. The Successful Applicant

A successful Managing Clerk should have:

8+ years of experience in litigation docketing, calendaring or court-operations. Experience as Managing Clerk and Assistant Managing Clerk required. Deep procedural knowledge of NY and federal court rules, and e-filing systems including CM/ECF, PACER, NYSCEF. Proficiency in legal docketing software and systems, Court Alert experience preferred. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to work collaboratively with attorneys and support staff. Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
