As we look to sustain our success and expand our reach, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Managing Consultant to lead our teams and manage the expansion of our capabilities. Role Description MSI is the leader in the federal adoption of emerging technologies. Our engagements span the civilian and defense sectors and include developing some of the most impactful automations that have been deployed in the federal government. If you have an interest in seeing the government increase its technology adoption, being trained to be successful in deploying RPA, ML, and other emerging technologies, and are an ambitious self-starter—this may be the right job for you. The Senior Communications Lead is a senior-level role within Management Science and Innovation. It requires engagement delivery excellence, professional customer engagement, and the ability to self-start. Responsibilities: Create data-driven strategic communications campaigns that support and achieve organizational objectives. Create a scalable, repeatable communications operating model aligned with IT objectives. Conduct current state assessments of processes, channels, and messaging across teams and stakeholders. Analyze the effectiveness of current communications and branding. Translate leadership priorities into clear messaging frameworks that align with agency needs, administration priorities, and program objectives. Summarize research findings, including data from surveys, focus groups, process maps, and metrics evaluations. Assess the maturity and effectiveness of each communications function. Provide recommendations to improve communications processes, channels, messaging, frequency, governance, and evaluation. Create future state process maps and detailed narrative process descriptions. Establish branding, editorial, and usage guidelines for a consistent and compelling look and feel. Build a template library for incident notices and executive briefings. Refine communications triggers and perform periodic audits for guideline compliance. Qualifications 5+ years of experience leading strategic communications, public relations, or marketing efforts, preferably in the IT space Bachelor's Degree Mastery of standard communication processes: identifying audiences, creating messaging, selecting channels, and evaluating impact Ability to translate qualitative stakeholder feedback and survey data into measurable maturity scores and KPI frameworks Experience building and managing centralized communication vehicles (e.g., SharePoint, legacy systems) Adept in linking tactical IT updates to high-level agency priorities Proficiency in mapping “as-is” and “to-be” communication lifecycles and processes using Visio, Draw.io, or similar tools Bonus Experience Experience with KPI design and dashboarding (e.g., PowerBI and Tableau). Experience with Qualtrix or similar tools. Prior experience in process improvement, Lean/Six Sigma, or Design Thinking. Experience working with technical teams in Agile. Experience with product management and UI/UX. Experience with developing and deploying surveys in a federal agency setting (e.g., privacy approvals). Experience conducting targeted focus groups with diverse stakeholders .
