Patient Services Coordinator
Provide efficient, accurate, and effective customer-focused communication services to enhance our patients experience. Pre-register, schedule, cancel and reschedule patient appointments. Responsible for the timely verification of patient medical insurance benefits, insurance eligibility, benefits and pre-authorization/ pre-certification/referrals. Ensures that all account activity is timely and thoroughly documented. Communicate and informs patients on payor requirements to ensure compliance. Validates that all necessary referrals, pre-certifications and/or authorizations for scheduled services is on file and valid for scheduled procedures. May perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 2 years experience in a hospital or medical office setting, including registration knowledge. Knowledge of medical terminology. Utilization of systems: PC, fax, telephone, scanner, copy machine, Microsoft Office and Outlook programs. Knowledge of CPT and HCPC codes. Salary Range: $22.44 - $31.57 hourly.
