Packaging Technician
This role focuses on accurately and efficiently packaging completed semiconductor products for shipment in a clean, climate-controlled manufacturing environment. You will work as part of a collaborative packing team, following packaging drawings and labeling requirements, using packaging equipment such as an Instapak machine, and ensuring that all materials and documentation are correct before orders leave the facility. Responsibilities
Pack units in a timely and efficient manner as directed by the Shipping Lead and Packaging Lead. Interpret packaging drawings and labeling requirements with guidance, ensuring all instructions are followed correctly. Learn and operate the Instapak machine under direction, developing proficiency over time. Verify that all required parts and components are included in each box prior to shipment. Confirm that the Traveler documentation matches the unit or units being processed before packaging is completed. Maintain organization of materials and keep the work station clean and orderly at all times. Work as a member of the packing team to help meet schedules and complete assignments on time. Adapt to working in a job shop environment handling multiple product types and varying packaging requirements. Learn and apply proper packaging techniques for a variety of systems, including the use of labeling equipment and packaging machinery. Perform other related duties as assigned to support shipping, packaging, and production needs. Essential Skills
Experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, or related packaging environments. Ability to work effectively as part of a packing team to meet schedules and deadlines. Willingness to learn proper packaging techniques for a variety of systems and product types. Ability to interpret packaging drawings and label requirements with direction. Willingness to learn and operate packaging equipment such as labeling machines and an Instapak machine. Flexibility to work in a job shoporiented environment on multiple product types. Strong attention to detail to ensure correct parts, documentation, and labeling for each shipment. Commitment to maintaining an organized, clean, and safe work station. Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in labeling, machine operation, packing, packaging, and kitting is beneficial. Comfort working near production and assembly areas in a manufacturing setting. No certifications required; on-the-job training is provided for packaging equipment and processes. Why Work Here?

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Austin, TX. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
