Account Executive (Cannabis)
Good Feels, Medway, MA, United States
Account Executive, Good Feels
Department: Wholesale
Reports To: Sales Manager
Location: Massachusetts (Field-Based + Office Hybrid)
Position Summary
This is a sales role. As an Account Executive, you are responsible for opening new doors and growing revenue in existing accounts across Massachusetts. You’ll sell across both sides of the Good Feels portfolio: our cannabis tinctures into licensed dispensaries and our hemp products (THC seltzers, gummies, and beverage enhancers) into hemp-permitted retail accounts such as liquor stores, bottle shops, and specialty retailers. That means prospecting, pitching, closing new business, and then building the relationships that turn a first order into a consistent reorder. You will own your territory end to end, from cold outreach to menu expansion, and you will be measured on the revenue you bring in. This role is for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is energized by the hunt, and is motivated by hitting and exceeding goals.
You’ll spend most of your time in the field: knocking on new doors, visiting existing accounts, presenting products and promotions, educating buyers and floor staff, and identifying opportunities to grow sell-through. You’ll track all activity and pipeline in HubSpot and manage orders through Apex Trading for cannabis and AirGoods for hemp, our wholesale ordering platforms. You’ll be measured on revenue results and account growth, not just activity. The best Account Executives at Good Feels are proactive closers who also know how to build long-term partnerships that keep accounts reordering.
Key Responsibilities
Account Management & Sales Growth
- Prospect, pitch, and close new wholesale accounts across both the cannabis (dispensary) and hemp (retail) channels to expand Good Feels’ footprint in Massachusetts.
- Drive menu expansion, reorders, and sell-through at existing accounts by understanding customer needs, product performance, and what’s moving on their shelves.
- Conduct regular outreach through calls, emails, and in-person visits to maintain strong relationships and surface new opportunities.
- Present new products, promotions, and brand updates to buyers and store teams with confidence and product expertise.
- Build and execute strategic sales plans to hit monthly and quarterly revenue targets, including new account acquisition goals and existing account growth.
Field Intelligence & Coordination
- Monitor merchandising, stock levels, and brand visibility at every account visit and flag issues or opportunities to the Field Marketing team.
- Coordinate with Field Marketing to kick off new accounts with proper in-store setup, and communicate what existing stores need, whether that’s display refreshes, staff education sessions, pop-ups, or promotional support.
- Serve as the primary source of real-time field intelligence by relaying store feedback, competitive activity, and market trends to Field Marketing, Operations, and Product teams so they can act on it.
Reporting & Communication
- Maintain accurate HubSpot, Apex Trading, and AirGoods records, sales activity logs, and account updates so nothing falls through the cracks.
- Track performance against targets, forecast demand, and communicate risks or opportunities to leadership proactively.
- Collaborate closely with the Sales Manager, Field Marketing, and Operations teams to align on priorities and execution.
Brand Representation
- Represent Good Feels with professionalism, enthusiasm, and deep product expertise at every touchpoint.
- Ensure all communication and in-store activity aligns with Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission compliance guidelines.
- Act as a trusted partner to dispensaries, helping them understand how to position and sell our products to their customers.
Qualifications
- 1 to 3 years of sales experience, preferably in cannabis, hemp, CPG, beverage, or a similarly regulated industry.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills. You know how to earn trust and keep it.
- Comfortable with field-based work, travel across Massachusetts, and managing a territory independently.
- Highly organized with strong follow-through and attention to detail.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and energized by hitting targets.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and adapt quickly in a fast-growing environment.
- Experience with HubSpot or similar CRM required; experience with Apex Trading, AirGoods, and/or Distru preferred. Comfortable logging activity, managing pipeline, and pulling reports.
