Human Resources / Payroll Director We are seeking an experienced, organized, and motivated Human Resources / Payroll Director to join our leadership team in a fast‑paced Skilled Nursing Facility. The Human Resources / Payroll Director plays a critical role in supporting daily facility operations through effective employee relations, payroll administration, compliance oversight, recruitment, onboarding, and HR leadership. The ideal Human Resources / Payroll Director is professional, approachable, detail‑oriented, and able to balance employee support with regulatory and operational expectations. This position is essential to ensuring the facility maintains strong human resources practices, accurate payroll processing, and compliance with company policy and applicable employment regulations. As the Human Resources / Payroll Director, you will serve as a key resource for employees, department leaders, and executive leadership while helping maintain a positive workplace culture. The Human Resources / Payroll Director will oversee HR functions and payroll processes that directly support quality care, employee engagement, and organisational success in the Skilled Nursing Facility setting. The Human Resources / Payroll Director is responsible for managing the day‑to‑day human resources and payroll functions of the facility. Responsibilities include recruitment, onboarding, employee file maintenance, payroll preparation and review, benefits coordination, policy administration, attendance tracking, leave management, workers' compensation support, unemployment response, and regulatory compliance. focused on stability, support, and building a stronger clinical culture A leadership role with the ability to shape training, competencies, and unit performance A facility committed to practical education that improves day‑to‑day care delivery Benefits Competitive Pay Rates Full Benefits Package (Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k) Supportive Leadership & Team‑Oriented Culture Opportunities for Career Advancement Paid Time Off & Holiday Pay Continuing Education Duties and Responsibilities: Oversee all human resources operations within the Skilled Nursing Facility Process and/or coordinate payroll accurately and within required deadlines Maintain employee personnel, medical, payroll, and compliance files Lead recruitment efforts including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and onboarding coordination Ensure pre‑employment requirements are completed timely, including background checks, drug screens, physicals, and other required documentation Coordinate and facilitate new hire orientation Monitor attendance, disciplinary processes, employee coaching, and policy enforcement Support employee relations matters by responding to concerns, questions, and workplace issues promptly and professionally Administer benefits enrollment, status changes, and employee communication related to benefits Assist with leave of absence administration, including FMLA and other applicable leave processes Maintain compliance with federal, state, local, and company employment regulations Prepare reports related to staffing, payroll, benefits, turnover, and other HR metrics Assist leadership with performance evaluation tracking and follow‑up Coordinate workers' compensation reporting and follow‑up as needed Respond to unemployment claims, employment verifications, and other employment‑related requests Support department heads with staffing, retention, and employee accountability initiatives Maintain confidentiality of employee and payroll information at all times Serve as a liaison between the facility and corporate support teams, vendors, and outside agencies as applicable Compensation and Schedule Expected Hours: 40 hours per week Location: 5000 Swoul Blvd, Stow, Ohio 44224 Skills and Qualifications: Previous experience as an Human Resources / Payroll Director, HR Manager, Payroll Manager, or similar leadership role preferred Prior experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility, long‑term care, healthcare, or post‑acute setting strongly preferred Knowledge of payroll practices, wage and hour requirements, and employee records management Working knowledge of HR compliance, employee relations, leave administration, and benefits coordination Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Excellent communication and interpersonal skills High level of discretion and ability to handle confidential information appropriately Strong computer skills, including HRIS, payroll systems, Microsoft Office, and related software Ability to work collaboratively with administrators, department leaders, and staff at all levels High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred Experience processing payroll for hourly and salaried employees Experience with timekeeping, attendance systems, and payroll reconciliation Experience with healthcare compliance and employee onboarding requirements Ability to work independently while maintaining accuracy and professionalism Strong problem‑solving and follow‑through skills Knowledge of benefit administration and employee support processes Why Join Us
