Interns could shadow and work alongside producers, photographers, reporters, digital team members, and other newsroom team members, learning about writing, researching, photojournalism, video editing, and producing newscasts.This is an unpaid internship and must be done in conjunction with a degree-based program, for college credit. This internship is designed for college students who are in the early to middle stages of their collegiate careers. (Our paid internships are limited and reserved for upper-level students ready for more rigorous work in the newsroom.) Position is located in Wichita, Kansas, and will remain open until filled. There is no “normal” schedule in a newsroom, so expect odd hours, including weekends, evenings or early mornings. We will be respectful of your college course schedule in your weekly internship schedule.
