About the Role We are seeking an exceptional Product Designer to fill a critical role in our Ad Platforms team. This key member of a growing design team will help create the future of Disney’s thriving streaming business, shipping high‑craft, high‑utility experiences, simplifying complex processes, leveraging AI for efficiency, and directly impacting the bottom line.
The role focuses on streamlining ad campaign planning and creation tools, shaping both the strategy and design vision for our evolving advertising platform. The designer will also contribute to a collaborative and fun design culture, with leadership opportunities to shape how we work.
Key Responsibilities
Work relatively independently on medium‑size features or product experiences, with guidance from a manager or mentor.
Design intuitive, easy‑to‑understand user experiences that enhance the overall product.
Make good use of existing patterns and standards, demonstrating a thorough understanding of the constraints and capabilities of the platforms you’re designing for.
Create and iterate on flows, prototypes, and high‑fidelity visuals to communicate ideas.
Clearly and succinctly articulate project goals and the rationale behind your designs in team reviews and presentations.
Consistently deliver work that is well‑thought‑out and aligned with project goals.
Demonstrate sustained productivity and meet project deadlines by accurately estimating the time required for tasks.
Share your work in critique, proactively seek feedback from other designers and cross‑functional partners, and uplift peer designers’ work via critique.
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of related work experience.
Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent work experience.
Experience shipping high‑utility mobile or desktop applications/features, simplifying complex user flows, or delivering new product innovation that disrupted conventions.
Strong understanding of user‑centered design principles and best practices.
Self‑motivated problem solving with the ability to clearly articulate your design rationale.
Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively.
Hunger for innovation, fluidity with ideas, and eagerness to challenge the status quo.
Strong interest in and aptitude for learning new technologies and design skills.
Strong work ethic, reliability, adaptability, and collaboration.
Ability to design within design standards and contribute to design language.
Expert knowledge of Figma and/or other design tools.
The hiring range for this position in New York, NY is $112,000.00 to $150,100.00 per year; in San Francisco, CA is $117,100.00 to $156,900.00 per year; and in Los Angeles, CA is $106,900.00 to $143,300.00 per year. Base pay will take into account internal equity and may vary based on geography, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. A bonus and/or long‑term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and other benefits, depending on the level and position offered.
