The Marketing Automation Manager is a hands‑on, execution‑focused marketing role responsible for building, optimizing, and scaling digital‑first demand generation programs. The focus is on driving pipeline, revenue, and customer lifetime value through email marketing, lifecycle automation, and Salesforce Marketing Cloud.

This is a 9‑12 month contract‑to‑hire opportunity supporting a confidential enterprise organization. The role is best suited for a strong individual contributor who thrives in marketing execution, owns the details of campaign performance, and brings deep expertise in marketing automation and digital journeys.

Worksite Location:

Hybrid – Minneapolis, MN

Salary Range:

Hourly Rate Between $55/hr-$65/hr DOE

Timeframe:

9‑12 month contract‑to‑hire

Roles & Responsibilities

Execute and optimize digital‑first demand generation programs, with email as the primary channel

Design and manage lifecycle marketing journeys including nurture, onboarding, re‑engagement, and retention

Serve as the hands‑on Salesforce Marketing Cloud expert (Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Data Extensions)

Build behavior‑driven email journeys aligned to buyer intent and lifecycle stage

Maintain best practices for deliverability, compliance, list hygiene, and campaign architecture

Define, analyze, and report on digital KPIs including engagement, conversion, pipeline contribution, ROI, and CLTV

Use CRM, email, and web analytics to continuously optimize campaign performance

Partner cross‑functionally with marketing, sales, and technical teams to align execution

Coordinate with external agencies and internal stakeholders to ensure successful campaign delivery

Contribute to evolving digital demand generation strategy through insights and performance analysis

Required Skills & Experience

5‑7+ years of experience in demand generation or digital marketing, with a strong focus on email and marketing automation

Deep, hands‑on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Marketing Cloud Engagement)

SFMC certifications strongly preferred

Strong understanding of Salesforce CRM and lead‑to‑revenue workflows

Proven ability to translate digital and lifecycle data into actionable optimization strategies

Strong execution mindset with the ability to operate independently as an individual contributor

Excellent collaboration and communication skills across technical and marketing teams

Experience in enterprise or complex B2B environments preferred
