AKIRA Graphic Designer
Position Overview: AKIRA is looking for an experienced graphic designer to design creative media to support the marketing team. The Graphic Designer will design digital commerce marketing assets as well as in-store signage and print assets. This individual will produce and maintain daily marketing design updates based on marketing planning calendars. All applications MUST include portfolios to be considered.
Essential Functions
Manage projects from concept through production (print, newsletters/emails, promos, website asset design, social media, advertising, in-store signage, and more)
Actively participate in the concept and design of brand collateral for AKIRA across both digital and physical retail environments
Concept and execute digital graphics across social, email, web, and paid channels that drive engagement across channels
Swap, update, and maintain visual assets on shopakira.com
Design and produce store event signage, promotional graphics, and in-store print materials that support retail activations, sales events, and store openings
Maintain an intimate understanding of the AKIRA brand and customer, and stay up-to-date on industry trends and other retail brands
Collaborate cross-functionally to create a cohesive brand experience across all channels
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, or related field required
2+ years of experience in Graphic Design, preferably within marketing/retail
Strong knowledge: Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
Knowledge of video editing, motion graphics, or app design is a plus
Strong ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects/deadlines at once
Strong understanding of typography and layout design
Self-motivated, strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
Some understanding of HTML is a plus
Shopify experience is a plus
