What You’ll Do Join the team at Serta Simmons Bedding and help create the high‑quality mattresses our customers love. We’re looking for hands‑on, detail‑oriented individuals to assemble mattresses in a fast‑paced, safety‑focused manufacturing environment.

Assemble mattresses according to established work instructions using a variety of pneumatic tools, including c‑ring hog‑ring guns, staple guns, and hot glue guns.

Operate bonding machines for assembly.

Perform foam encasing and complete final mattress assembly.

Inspect mattress components and finished units for structural defects, quality issues, or unacceptable flaws.

Ensure all assembly steps meet quality and safety standards.

Maintain a clean and organized work area to support efficient production.

Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot assembly or quality issues as they arise.

Follow all safety protocols and report any unsafe conditions or equipment malfunctions.

Physical Demands

Must be able to stand and walk for a minimum of 8 hours per day (or longer during overtime) as required.

Must lift heavy products or raw materials up to 120 pounds multiple times per hour during an 8‑hour shift (or longer during overtime). Heavy loads must be team‑lifted.

Maintain production within the specified range to support the integrity of the make‑to‑order system.

Mental Demands

Understand and follow detailed work instructions and production tickets.

Understand verbal instructions, communicate clearly and respectfully with coworkers and management, and thrive in a fast‑paced, constantly changing team environment.

Work Environment

Safety‑focused, fast‑paced manufacturing plant engaged in Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives.

Work environment includes exposure to high noise levels, hot raw materials, fire‑retardant materials, and limited chemicals.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required for any hazards and is provided by the company.

Prior experience with pneumatic tools and/or in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

The hiring salary range for this position is public where legally required, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job‑related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
