Estimator (Commercial Flooring) – Remote

Salary: $70,000 - $105,000 per year.

Job Details Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial flooring projects, including carpet, hardwood, resilient, and ceramic tile.

Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates.

Conduct comprehensive cost analysis and management to ensure projects are completed within budget.

Perform project management tasks such as coordinating with subcontractors, managing resources, and monitoring project progress.

Participate in project bidding, presenting estimates and conducting contract negotiations.

Collaborate with the sales team to develop strategies for pursuing new opportunities.

Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in the commercial flooring industry to ensure competitiveness.

Maintain clear and effective communication with clients, suppliers, contractors, and internal team.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the commercial construction industry, focusing on flooring.

Proven experience in cost analysis, project management, commercial construction, project bidding, and contract negotiation.

Strong knowledge of flooring industries: carpet, hardwood, resilient, and ceramic tile.

Exceptional ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications.

Excellent mathematical and IT skills, with proficiency in estimation software.

Strong communication and negotiation skills, with a knack for building strong relationships with clients and partners.

Highly organized with keen eye for detail and ability to multitask effectively.

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
