KJK Productions is hiring a
Music Director
for our 2026 summer theatre camp season, featuring two fast‑paced, student‑centered musical productions.
2026 Productions Show 1: Footloose: 90‑Minute Version July 6–17, 2026 Performance: July 17 @ 7 PM
Show 2: Chicago: Teen Edition July 20–31, 2026 Performance: July 31 @ 7 PM
⭐ Candidates available for both productions are strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
Teach and rehearse music with performers ages 12+
Play piano live for rehearsals and performances or manage accompaniment tracks
Support educational theatre workshops throughout camp
Lead and conduct a small pit band/orchestra if used
Build confidence, musicianship, and ensemble skills in a fast rehearsal setting
Compensation $750–$1,000 per week Paid per production • Independent contractor role
Location/Transportation Camp is in Yorktown Heights, NY, approximately 50 minutes from Manhattan’s West Side.
Transportation may be available from the Manhattan (Midtown West, UWS or Upper Manhattan) No housing provided
Qualifications
Experience working with children required
Theatre education background preferred
NYS Fingerprint Clearance required
Strong piano skills preferred
