Position Summary The Event Sales Specialist provides administrative support to the senior event sales managers and the event sales managers, including but not limited to, closing out & balancing past events, creating event packets for onsite teams, assisting with BEO updates and creation, etc. Acting as a liaison between guests and the onsite sales and operations team, the Event Sales Specialist will also be responsible for accepting, detailing, and communicating across several locations for any Direct Booking with our Events Management Platform, Tripleseat.
This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days on‑site at our Home Office in Chicago (River North), IL.
The schedule options for this positions is 9am - 5pm CST, Sunday through Thursday.
Position Responsibilities May Include, But Not Limited To
Assemble daily event packets for Event Ambassadors and Operations Managers
Manage the Golf Reservation system for events, and verify the game is booked in the system and on the correct course.
Troubleshoot any tech issues on the day of the event with the support of Home Office IT team if needed
Print daily schedule of events and distribute to multiple departments via email at the beginning of each day
Review and distribute BEOs for operations and culinary team for BEO meetings to onsite teams
Input sales revenue following events in CRM, complete event closeouts and relay any discrepancies to Sales Manager, collect final revenue.

Other projects or duties as assigned.
Required Skills And Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent
1+ year(s) of experience within the hospitality and/or restaurant industry as a server, bartender, FOH, or Manager
Minimum of 1 year of experience with group events and/or group sales within the hospitality and/or restaurant industry.
Prior experience in a customer facing role within hospitality, retail, food and beverage, or similar industry
Enthusiasm and a guest services mindset
Excellent communication skills across phone, email, and in-person.
Strong time management and organizational skills
Comfortable with technology and troubleshooting
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook and OneDrive
Ability to work flexible hours on occasion, including nights or weekends.
This position must pass a post-offer background check
Preferred Skills And Experience
Proficiency in Tripleseat & Toast POS
Physical Requirements Physical activities on a continuous basis including regular standing, sitting at desk for a long period of time, frequent use of telephone/video conferencing, and using a keyboard to communicate through written means. Some walking and lifting, up to 25 lbs. may be required. The noise level in the work environment is typically low to moderate within a typical office setting, and moderate to high within the venue setting. Travel by car and plane may be required from time to time. The physical demands described above are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions and responsibilities of this job.
