Job Summary KCRG‑TV9 seeks an energetic host and producer for a lifestyle program showcasing the best of Eastern Iowa. The host will tour businesses, profile restaurants, guide viewers, and collaborate with clients to present their products on‑air and across digital platforms. This role requires high‑energy on‑camera performance, strong interview skills, excellent organization, and a creative, proactive approach to content development.
Duties / Responsibilities
Host a daily lifestyle show, presenting information live on‑air.
Interview guests and clients both in‑studio and on location.
Research, shoot, write, edit, and present stories, including sponsored content.
Research show topics and develop questions for guests.
Coordinate production elements, including video, graphics, and camera shots.
Collaborate closely with the sales team on sponsored content.
Write and post videos to digital platforms to support lifestyle programming.
Showcase content on social media to expand audience reach.
Qualifications / Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
Experience as a host or on‑air personality is required.
Experience shooting and editing video is a plus.
Familiarity with social‑media best practices (Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, Instagram).
Ability to produce content in the field independently.
Strong writing, proofreading, ad‑libbing, and interviewing skills.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects with varying production timelines.
Highly motivated self‑starter, capable of working alone and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Strong customer‑service skills.
A valid driver’s license and good driving record are required.
Attention to detail under deadline pressure.
Strong problem‑solving abilities.
