Responsibilities The Communications & Digital Media Assistant is responsible for supporting the department’s digital communications, educational media, and marketing initiatives; assists with recording and editing educational video content, drafting website content, supporting social media marketing and engagement efforts. Collaborates with faculty and staff to help produce clear, engaging content that supports the department’s educational and outreach initiatives; and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Communications, Journalism, English, Marketing, Business or a related field is required • Previous internship, academic, or volunteer experience in digital media, communications, or marketing preferred
Basic knowledge of video recording and editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, iMovie, DaVinci Resolve, or similar platforms)
Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing practices
Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to draft clear, concise content
Basic understanding of website content management systems (CMS) preferred
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

The referenced base salary range represents the low and high end of University of Maryland’s Faculty Physician’s Inc. salary range for this position. Some candidates will not be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. Exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's geographic location, skills, work experience, market conditions, internal equity, responsibility factor and span of control, education/training and other qualifications.
