The Huron Intermediate School District is seeking a qualified casual
Orientation & Mobility (O&M) Specialist
to provide instructional and consultative services to students with visual impairments and other disabilities affecting vision.
The position focuses on developing students’ ability to travel safely, independently, and effectively within school, home, and community environments.

Responsibilities
Develop and implement orientation and mobility programs for students with visual impairments and related disorders.
Collaborate with teachers, family members, and outside agencies to support student evaluation and planning processes, including METs, IFSPs, and IEPs.
Provide consultative services to staff on best practices for teaching orientation and mobility skills.
Support students in traveling safely and independently within school, home, and community settings.
