Analytics and Integrated Planning
The Analytics and Integrated Planning (AIP) division brings expertise in strategic planning, advanced data analysis, data reporting, and institutional research with the explicit purpose of leveraging institutional data to enable robust decision making across the university.
AIP partners with university colleges, departments, and other areas to coordinate analytic activities and discover insights in support of university goals. These partnerships serve to improve UCF’s analysis capabilities and infrastructure.
The Opportunity UCF's Analytics & Integrated Planning (AIP) team is hiring an experienced data analyst for a visiting position in support of the Office of Research's Vienna project. The Enterprise Analytics Specialist II role involves developing queries, building data models, and delivering reports that support institutional and departmental reporting and decision-making. Responsibilities include defining data requirements, collecting and preparing data, and creating visualizations and dashboards. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience designing, developing, and maintaining interactive dashboards using Power BI.
This is a visiting and renewable position up to a period of four (4) years.
Responsibilities
Conduct data collection, cleansing, and analysis to complete recurring and ad‑hoc data analyses and reports.
Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards using Power BI.
Participate in requirements gathering sessions to understand the purpose behind the research questions and/or data request.
Support stakeholders by effectively communicating analytical findings.
Train end‑users on the proper tools, interpretations, and findings.
Create and maintain detailed documentation of processes and methodologies.
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6).
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years of professional experience designing and delivering data analytics using Power BI.
Hands‑on experience using Power Query M to clean and prepare institutional data.
Strong command of DAX for developing measures, calculated columns, and analytical logic.
Additional Qualifications
Demonstrates the ability to work independently and prioritize multiple projects with attention to detail in a deadline‑oriented environment.
Strong collaborative, interpersonal, and communication skills, with demonstrated ability to work effectively in team‑based environments and stakeholders at all levels, including senior administration.
Salary The anticipated salary range for this position is $78,000-$80,000. The final salary will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and internal equity considerations.
