Skillset / Experience:
Global Payroll Director
The Payroll Director will lead global payroll operations, ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely payroll processing across multiple countries. This role partners closely with Finance, HR, IT, and Shared Services leadership to drive payroll strategy, system improvements, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, mentor, and develop a global payroll team (8 direct reports)
Oversee multi-country payroll operations (U.S., Canada, and global)
Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and international payroll regulations
Manage payroll tax, audits, and regulatory reporting
Oversee payroll processing including multi-state, multi-frequency cycles
Handle complex payroll items including bonuses, commissions, and equity
Lead payroll systems strategy, enhancements, and integrations (Dayforce, CloudPay, ADP)
Oversee payroll accounting, including GL postings, accruals, and reconciliations
Partner with Treasury on payroll funding and cash management
Manage payroll vendors and service providers
Establish KPIs, controls, and continuous process improvements
Requirements:
15+ years of payroll experience with 10+ years in leadership
Strong global payroll experience (multi-country)
Experience with high-volume payroll environments
Knowledge of payroll systems (Dayforce, CloudPay, ADP preferred)
Strong understanding of payroll tax, compliance, and audits
Advanced Excel skills
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
CPP certification required (active)
