Sales Director (Off-Price & Club Accounts)

Our client, a leading women's apparel group, is looking for a Director of Sales to oversee Off-Price and Club accounts while leading a high-performing sales team.

Responsibilities

  • Drive sales and profit performance by brand, analyzing business daily, weekly, monthly, and seasonally to achieve revenue and margin goals
  • Oversee open to buy, gross margin analysis, and markdown management
  • Develop account‑specific product initiatives to generate profitable sales growth
  • Partner with VP of Sales to build sales budgets by account and present financial plans that secure budget
  • Manage annual marketing spend, ATS, reorders, and additional product opportunities
  • Build and maintain an annual promotional calendar in coordination with Sales and Planning teams
  • Manage shippable budget to reduce excess inventory exposure
  • Solicit and open new accounts while cultivating senior‑level relationships at key retail partners
  • Identify white space opportunities and develop new product concepts within the department store channel
  • Monitor emerging retail trends and propose updated strategies accordingly
  • Collaborate internally with Planning, Design, Finance, Retail Development, Production, Allocations, and Marketing at all levels
  • Maintain regular communication with external buyers, planners, and senior management (DMM) to maximize opportunities and grow the business

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of related wholesale sales experience
  • Department store wholesale background strongly preferred
  • Experience managing a large‑scale business in excess of $20M
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint required
  • Knowledge of RLM and retail math is a must
  • Exceptional presentation skills to senior‑level executives and large groups
  • Strong analytical, selling, and negotiation skills
