Job Summary

The Head of Marketing will support Executive Management in developing a strategic framework and long‑term vision for the Bank’s growth strategies. The role will strategize, lead, and translate business goals and strategy into results, overseeing integrated marketing, brand management, market research, product marketing, marketing communications, public relations, and social and digital marketing to drive initiatives that support remarkable client experiences. The position leads a core marketing and creative team and collaborates with senior leaders, line‑of‑business leaders, and external partners.

This department typically works Monday‑Friday between 8 am‑5 pm CST.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Accountable as the key marketing leader in developing and executing fully integrated brand and marketing strategies that drive measurable engagement, business outcomes, and brand strength.
  • Manage all aspects of marketing planning, budgeting, metrics, and reporting, ensuring alignment with each business line to support growth and profitability goals.
  • Oversee branding, marketing and advertising strategy, public relations, reputation management, crisis communications, content marketing, external communications, social media, and media relations.
  • Develop tracking metrics and success criteria to measure marketing results and make evidence‑based decisions.
  • Understand the inter‑connectivity of traditional and digital channels to support lead generation and new relationships.
  • Identify market and client trends to support innovation and growth.
  • Maintain marketing technology and strategy focusing on personalization and real‑time engagement delivery.
  • Partner with executive leadership, Board of Directors, and line‑of‑business managers to shape business and brand strategy.
  • Build synergies between marketing and line‑of‑business sales teams to develop an integrated client experience.
  • Manage external marketing partners and agencies for creative, brand, and technology services.
  • Assume additional responsibilities as assigned.

  • Proven leadership, strategy, analytics, communication and management skills.
  • Strategy planning and implementation to deliver measurable results.
  • Exceptional marketing planning and execution ability; translate business strategy into go‑to‑market plans.
  • Thorough knowledge of marketing principles, brand, product and service management, sales, and business development, with a track record of success.
  • Advanced experience with digital marketing technologies and communication channels, including social, branding and messaging to diverse audiences.
  • Highly motivated, self‑driven, strategic thinker who can operate independently and take accountability.
  • Ability to motivate, influence and collaborate with others internally and externally.
  • Team builder, coach and mentor to achieve results.
  • Multi‑tasking in a fast‑paced environment while prioritizing impactful activities to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated proven and effective management skills.
  • Proficient computer skills.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field and/or equivalent work experience.
  • Master’s Degree in Business, Finance or Marketing preferred.
  • 20+ years of marketing experience, including 10+ years leading marketing, brand management and operational initiatives in the banking industry.
