Role Description
We're looking for a motivated PR Associate with a strong foundation in communications and a genuine interest in the travel and tourism space. The ideal candidate brings proficiency in writing press releases and other earned media materials, paired with the interpersonal skills to build and maintain productive relationships with journalists, editors, and media contacts across travel and lifestyle publications. Excellent written and verbal communication is a baseline expectation — you'll be representing Trove and our destination clients in external-facing correspondence regularly.
Experience or demonstrated interest in strategic communications is valued, whether gained through coursework, internships, or independent work. Familiarity with the tourism or destination marketing landscape is a plus, as is any existing network of contacts within travel media. Candidates should bring strong organizational habits, a sharp eye for detail, and a reliable ability to meet deadlines in a fast-moving, client-service environment.
We welcome candidates currently pursuing a degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field. More than credentials, we're looking for someone proactive — someone who takes initiative, asks good questions, and is genuinely eager to learn and contribute to a team doing meaningful work at the intersection of travel, culture, and community.
Qualifications
Proficiency in writing Press Releases and strong Public Relations skills
Excellent Communication and Media Relations capabilities
Experience or connections within travel or tourism publications
Experience or knowledge in Strategic Communications
Attention to detail, organizational skills, and an ability to meet deadlines
Familiarity with the tourism or marketing fields is a plus
Pursuing a degree in Public Relations, Communications, or a related field
Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and contribute
