Program Details
Program Dates:
September 21, 2026 – April 23, 2027
Time Commitment:
16-24 hours per week. Schedule determined based on business needs. We will accommodate course schedules.
Format:
Opportunities listed will require an intern to work from Universal City, CA.

Responsibilities:
Assist producers with planning, guest booking, and pre‑production; assist crew members on set; edit segments for various platforms; manage music cue sheets, talent and location releases, and closed captioning; engage and manage all social media platforms.
Digital Innovation
Responsibilities:
Produce high‑quality video content for local television markets; write, produce, and edit bilingual videos for digital and social platforms across NBCUniversal Local portfolio, including local NBC, Telemundo, and Regional Sports networks; work on day‑to‑day news coverage and special video projects.
Basic Requirements
Must be actively enrolled in a degree‑granting program at an accredited institution for the entire duration of the program (September 2026 through April 2027). December 2026 graduates are not eligible for this Academic Year Internship Program.
Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits).
Authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
Available to work 16-24 hours per week during the program.
Willing to work in Universal City, CA.
Desired Characteristics
Students with class standing of junior or above preferred.
Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
Background in Journalism, Communications, Advertising, Production, Marketing, or related fields.
Strong interest in media industry.
Experience in video editing using Adobe Premiere or Final Cut Pro X a plus.
Fluency in both English and Spanish preferred.
The hourly rate for student interns is $19.00.
