NBCUniversal Academic Year Internship Program

Program Details
Program Dates: September 21, 2026 – April 23, 2027

Time Commitment: 16-24 hours per week, schedule determined based on business need.

Format: Intern must work from New York, NY.

Responsibilities

LXTV: Assist producers with planning, guest booking, and pre‑production; assist crew on set; edit segments for various platforms; manage music cue sheets, talent and location releases, and closed captioning; engage with social media platforms.

Digital Agile: Work with the digital Product & Technology team on development and release of products across Desktop, MobileWeb, OTT, and mobile apps; learn Agile Project Management for Local News.

NBCU Local HQ Marketing: Support brand, streaming, regional sports marketing teams; prepare briefs and campaign documents; facilitate product launches and streaming channel events; support voter registration efforts and social responsibility initiatives.

Basic Requirements

Actively enrolled in a degree‑granting program at an accredited institution during the entire program duration (September 2026 through April 2027). December 2026 graduates are not eligible.

Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits).

Authorized to work for any employer in the United States without requiring work visa sponsorship from NBCUniversal.

Available to work 16‑24 hours per week from September 21, 2026 – April 23, 2027.

Willing to work in New York, NY.

Desired Characteristics

Students with class standing of junior or above preferred.

Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.

Background in Journalism, Communications, Advertising, Production, Marketing, or related fields.

Strong interest in the media industry.

Experience in video editing using Adobe Premiere and Final Cut Pro X is a plus.

Fluency in both English and Spanish preferred.
