Job Summary
The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team seeks an Engagement Manager (EM) to lead the delivery of complex cloud solution projects. The EM combines technical expertise with strong project leadership to drive successful AWS-based implementations, bridging business requirements with technical solutions and ensuring alignment with customer outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage complex cloud migration and implementation projects.
- Leverage comprehensive knowledge of AWS services, architectures, and best practices to guide technical decisions and strategic planning.
- Bridge business requirements with technical solutions, facilitating engineering discussions and ensuring alignment with customer business outcomes.
- Distill customer needs into clear technical requirements and map them to business outcomes.
- Decompose complex technical problems into actionable, deliverable solutions.
- Contribute to technical documentation and define documentation standards.
Basic Qualifications
- 1+ year experience as a Scrum Master or Product Owner across multiple cross‑functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
- 3+ years of leading the delivery of IT projects with external customers or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of program or engagement management experience leading other project managers to deliver a program with multiple concurrent projects.
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or above.
Preferred Qualifications
- Project management certification (e.g., APM, CSM, PMI‑ACP, PRINCE2).
- AWS certification.
- Knowledge of the value proposition of the public cloud and cloud engagement delivery (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
- Experience working with and presenting to C‑level executives, IT, and lines of businesses across organizations.
Security Clearance
US Citizen with an active Top Secret security clearance.
Salary and Benefits
Annual base salary:
- USA, CO, Denver – USD 131,200 – 177,600
- USA, MO, St. Louis – USD 131,200 – 177,600
- USA, VA, Arlington – USD 131,200 – 177,600
- USA, VA, Herndon – USD 131,200 – 177,600
