Essential Purpose

The Sales Director is a strategic leadership position responsible for driving revenue growth, developing sales strategies, and managing the overall sales organization. Responsible for directing and aligning Essex Brownell’s Outside Sales professionals on the OEM and Motor Repair (Aftermarket) teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop a business and strategy plan to support current business and grow sales.
  • Assist in setting revenue targets and defining market strategy.
  • Assess data provided by sales staff.
  • Identify business opportunities and work with the team to keep sales pipeline updated and meeting established KPIs.
  • Direct and drive key account and vendor strategies.
  • Provide Expectation Plans for all direct reports and monitor the results through the tracking of KPIs.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships and help Outside Sales professionals elevate needs both internally and externally when required.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university
  • Seven to ten years sales/marketing leadership experience
  • Prior industry experience.
