What to Expect on Day One
At Day One we partner with world-class VCs and Founders to build and scale the most innovative markets disrupting all categories. We have more job orders than we can handle on our own. You’ll step in immediately and own searches. That means sourcing, screening, managing clients, and closing candidates across multiple roles. This is a high‑velocity desk with real upside. This is not a 9–5 role. We’re looking for hungry, motivated people who want to push hard, learn fast, and build something meaningful.
Responsibilities
- Source and engage candidates using modern tools and outbound methods
- Screen candidates and manage interview processes
- Close candidates and manage offers
- Build and manage client relationships
- Work directly with high‑growth startups and tier‑one venture funds
- Take ownership of client relationships over time
- Lead and scale a recruiting team as the business grows
Qualifications
- 4+ years of direct‑hire tech recruiting experience at an agency, executive search firm, talent partner at a venture fund, or in‑house recruiter at a high‑growth startup that has scaled teams and the company
- Experience working with high‑growth startups and venture‑backed companies
- Proven success in recruiting with at least $1M in lifetime billings (if from an agency)
- High sense of urgency
- Hungry, self‑motivated, and comfortable in a fast‑paced environment
- Desire to build long‑term and grow into a leadership role
