Summary
The Business Development Manager (BDM) is a channel sales partner responsible for ensuring the attainment of Yokohama Off-Highway Tires America, Inc. (YOHTA)’s revenue objectives. This position is part of the field sales organization and interfaces regularly with clients, channel partners, management, and other areas of the business. The role reports to the Regional Sales Manager. Due to the travel demand, candidates who currently reside in Washington or Oregon are preferred and relocation is not offered for this role.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Manage and grow the assigned territory to drive new revenue with channel partners and dealers.

Expand existing relationships and drive growth in each account.

Grow the channel network in the region, refining it for performance and revenue success in key segments.

Meet or exceed revenue targets.

Partner with channel and dealers to promote brands, educate sales reps and customers, communicate promotions, and optimize opportunities to drive revenue results.

Deliver compelling product presentations to expand product knowledge, understanding of product, and customer support.

Report regularly to management on forecast, sales pipeline, and sales results.

Travel in the territory to all channel partners and dealers (approximately 70‑80%).

Attend customer sales calls with partners to assist in closing business in the region.

Attend regular sales meetings with team and manager.

Collaborate with and support sales and marketing to roll out regular promotions and product marketing materials that will enhance partner success and customer awareness.

Support and implement the sales strategy developed by the Regional Sales Manager.

Support and implement the company’s marketing and sales programs and initiatives.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a related field.

4–8 years of experience selling tires, with preference given to experience most closely aligned with this position.

Previous experience successfully growing new and existing business in a field territory.

Demonstrated experience selling through a channel or dealer network.

Excellent ability to work independently using proactive selling skills to create new relationships and foster existing ones.

Industry knowledge.

Excellent communication skills.

Ability to travel within the territory up to 70% of the time (key requirement).

Required to live within the territory.

High level of accuracy and attention to detail, self‑directed, dependable, a team player, and capable of learning and communicating technical product information.

Compensation & Benefits
The base salary for this position will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and geographic location. In addition, this role is eligible to participate in a monthly commission‑based bonus program, subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable commission plan.
