Radio-Television Producer-Director
This is a highly responsible position that requires excellent organizational, project and time management skills to write, produce, and direct audio and video programs in the areas of public affairs, information, education and promotion.
Minimum Requirements:
A high school diploma or its equivalent and seven (7) years of professional or nonprofessional experience in radio or television productions or programming; or
A bachelor's degree (4 years) from an accredited college or university with a major in communications, broadcasting, or English and three (3) years of professional experience in radio or television productions or programming.
Additional Requirements:
Flexibility in work schedule is required.
Required to frequently travel statewide on short notice as needed.
Job Duties:
This position involves pre-production, production, editing and post-production work necessary for the production of high-quality audio and video projects, as well as general operations, maintenance, development and enhancement of the audio-video section.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Proficiency in writing short-form and long-form scripts.
Proficiency in researching, scheduling and conducting interviews.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
Ability to prioritize work.
Ability to be detail oriented.
Ability to carry equipment weighing over 40 pounds for extended periods of time.
Ability to assist in the operation of professional broadcast-quality video cameras (HD and/or 4K) and/or still photography.
Understanding of Adobe Creative Cloud software with emphasis on Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, and Adobe Photoshop.
Understanding of non-linear editing on Mac platform.
