Radio-Television Producer-Director
This is a highly responsible position that requires excellent organizational, project and time management skills to write, produce, and direct audio and video programs in the areas of public affairs, information, education and promotion.
The incumbent must:
Be a creative storyteller and work within a team environment to deliver high-quality scripts for audio-video productions
Ascertain the scope and complexity of a project and understand the full production process, including scheduling video shoots, conducting interviews and transcribing narration
Work on multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-oriented environment
Work with internal and external clients who may be inexperienced in audio-video production to help focus their messages within a workable audio-video format
Represent the department with extreme professionalism and a strong sense of customer service
Be proactive and detail-oriented
Possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Possess strong personal computing skills
Be able to respond quickly to changing priorities
Travel statewide on short notice as needed
Perform pre-production, production, editing and post-production work necessary for the production of high-quality audio and video projects. Perform work necessary for the audio-video section's general operations, maintenance, development and enhancement. Perform work necessary for the execution of high-quality video presentation events. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Proficiency in writing short-form and long-form scripts. Proficiency in researching, scheduling and conducting interviews. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written). Ability to prioritize work. Ability to be detail oriented. Ability to carry equipment weighing over 40 pounds for extended periods of time. Ability to assist in the operation of professional broadcast-quality video cameras (HD and/or 4K) and/or still photography. Understanding of Adobe Creative Cloud software with emphasis on Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, and Adobe Photoshop. Understanding of non-linear editing on Mac platform.
