Job Summary
WKYT, home to Lexington's highest-rated newscasts, is looking for a Full-Time Videographer/Editor. You will be a driven storyteller who uses photography beyond just shot selection and uses microphones to capture the essence of a story, not just sound bites.

As a News Editor, you'll transform a script into engaging content with natural sound, visual elements from field footage, and footage sourced from our visual journalists.

We provide cutting‑edge cameras, laptop editors, and a talented team of Photographers, MMJs, reporters, and Producers who are dedicated to telling great stories.

Responsibilities

Creative shooting and editing of news stories.

Self‑starter attitude, proactively asking questions and collaborating with the team.

Can‑do mindset, meeting deadlines reliably.

Work with microphones to capture high‑quality sound that supports storytelling.

Qualifications

Experience in videography and editing for news or broadcast environments.

Strong storytelling abilities and proficiency with camera and editing equipment.

Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a fast‑paced newsroom.
