Job Overview
The Graphic Designer for Trend Research & Forecasting is responsible for the creation of all presentation materials needed to support the team. This includes digital templates, videos and effects, and the merge of digital and physical assets to creative dynamic presentations for the enterprise. This position must demonstrate innovative design and technology application, solid comprehension of design and trend formatting, and an artistic sensibility towards typography, color, scale and composition. This role also supports graphic design innovation, and visual trend research to ensure all materials are on the forefront of trend content sharing.

Essential Functions
The Graphic Designer will be known as a trusted, collaborative, and results‑oriented creator, business partner, and change agent who can influence across the team and connect external visual trends, with internal format needs. The ideal candidate needs to be comfortable and effective leading through significant complexity, possess curiosity in learning, and exemplify an industry‑leading mindset. The ideal candidate will be known for a strong orientation for speed, and iteration on matrix’d requests and needs.

What You Will Do

Translate trend vision into dynamic presentation tools, forms of media (i.e. mood boards, videos, trend books, presentations, sample cards for the enterprise organization)

Design captivating, easy‑to‑use color templates, based on Trend Research & Forecasting team trend predictions.

Create print & digital media from all available resources. Research and pull product‑related graphics and to create materials.

Foster cultural curiosity, and establish both internal and external expertise in the field.

Design and produce trend forecasting templates, printed publications, digital presentations, videos, strategy presentations, press event environmental graphics/signage, and market, runway, and street recaps across all FOBs.

Develop self by participating in ongoing professional development, travel, immersions, and training.

Seek out innovative solutions to existing customer and/or Company challenges.

Communicate with candor and value open debate to ensure the best ideas come to life.

Develop concepts and implement design strategies for creative and compelling templates and layout solutions.

Scan and retouch all image content.

Research editorials, blogs, and key fashion sites to stay current on graphic trends.

Maintain and enforce quality of digital design documents, ensuring they are accurate and error‑free.

Maintain workflow calendar to ensure that projects are planned and executed according to schedule.

Maintain an industry presence that allows for connections, new business opportunities, and ideas at Macy’s. Represent and support the Macy’s brand while maintaining this presence.

Who You Are

Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or equivalent preferred.

Ideally, 4-plus years of experience in graphic and video design.

Extensive knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Video Creation, Canva, Motion Graphics, AI Tools.

Ability to influence partners.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence.

Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and Company needs.
