Overview
Macy’s seeks a highly creative and collaborative Specialist, Designer to support the creative development and execution of integrated brand experiences across Macy’s Studios live events and branded entertainment properties. The role blends graphic design, visual storytelling, presentation development, creative writing, and concept ideation across experiential, broadcast, retail, digital, partnership, social, and consumer‑facing touchpoints.

Responsibilities

Support development and execution of integrated creative campaigns, presentations, and branded experiences across Macy’s Studios properties.

Design and produce creative materials including presentation decks, pitch materials, branding systems, environmental graphics, event collateral, social content, partnership materials, merchandise concepts, digital assets, and promotional campaigns.

Contribute to visual storytelling, creative writing, presentation narrative development, and concept ideation across internal and external initiatives.

Translate creative direction and strategic objectives into polished, production‑ready deliverables across multiple platforms and touchpoints.

Collaborate cross‑functionally with Creative, Marketing, Partnerships, Production, Operations, and external agencies or vendors to support cohesive creative execution.

Help maintain visual consistency and brand integrity across consumer‑facing experiences, campaigns, partner integrations, and event‑related creative.

Support development of executive presentations, sponsorship opportunities, speculative concepts, and partnership storytelling materials.

Contribute to brainstorming, creative strategy discussions, and development of scalable creative systems and campaign toolkits.

Balance multiple concurrent projects and shifting priorities while maintaining creative quality, organization, and attention to detail.

Stay informed on design trends, entertainment, culture, social media, consumer behavior, and emerging creative technologies to drive fresh thinking and innovation.

Assist in supporting large‑scale live event productions and branded entertainment experiences through creative problem‑solving and cross‑functional collaboration.

Build strong collaborative relationships across teams and contribute to a positive, solutions‑oriented creative environment.

Support business and production needs during key live event periods, including Fourth of July and Thanksgiving productions, which may require flexible scheduling outside of traditional business hours.

Qualifications

4–6+ years of experience in graphic design and integrated creative, entertainment marketing, branding, experiential, or related creative environments.

Strong portfolio demonstrating integrated design thinking across presentation, branding, experiential, digital, social, and marketing applications.

Comprehensive understanding of typography, layout, visual storytelling, branding systems, and multi‑platform creative development.

Experience developing presentation decks, pitch materials, and visually compelling storytelling narratives.

Strong written communication, copywriting, and concept development skills.

Ability to think strategically and creatively while executing within fast‑paced timelines and evolving business needs.

Strong understanding of contemporary design trends, entertainment, culture, social media, and consumer‑facing creative.

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Microsoft Office, and presentation design platforms.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining organization, accuracy, and strong attention to detail.

Strong collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills across multiple teams and stakeholder groups.

Ability to adapt quickly, solve problems proactively, and navigate ambiguity with a solutions‑oriented mindset.

Experience supporting live events, branded entertainment, experiential, or large‑scale consumer experiences preferred.

Design, animation, or video editing experience is a plus.
