Lucasfilm Animation Ltd., the creators of the Emmy award‑winning animation series “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” and the highly successful series “Star Wars Rebels,” “Star Wars Resistance,” “Star Wars: The Bad Batch,” and “Star Wars: Maul‑Shadow Lord” is seeking a highly skilled and detail‑oriented Post Finishing Specialist to join our team in San Francisco.

This role is critical for ensuring the technical and creative integrity of our final delivered assets, spanning editorial, color grading, graphics, mastering, and quality control.

Location: San Francisco Bay Area. This position is Hybrid, with primarily onsite work in the San Francisco office and occasional remote work.

Responsibilities

Lead editorial operations, conform, cutting, export, and project maintenance using Avid Media Composer.

Automate and streamline timelines and media management processes.

Coordinate interchange workflows between editorial and finishing departments.

Generate comprehensive reports on cut versions, media usage, and project status.

Utilize DaVinci Resolve for advanced color correction, grading, and rendering of final masters.

Perform quality control in-application checks on color, stability, and format integrity.

Apply color science knowledge of Rec. 709, P3, Rec. 2020, and SMPTE ST 2084.

Develop and maintain Resolve scripts and DaVinci Color Transform Language (DCTL) solutions.

Master HDR10 and Dolby Vision assets, manage metadata, and create SDR derivations.

Produce graphics packages, credits, and ancillary elements in Photoshop, After Effects, Illustrator, and related tools.

Set up and calibrate professional QC viewing and audio monitoring rooms.

Read and interpret video and audio scopes, waveform, vector scope, histogram, and loudness meters.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Film, Digital Media, or related field, or equivalent experience.

8–10 years of professional post‑production or studio mastering experience.

3–5 years of experience with DaVinci Resolve workflow automation and scripting.

In‑depth knowledge of media and cut formats relevant to editorial and finishing stages.

Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills.

Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and collaborate across diverse teams.

Proficiency with UHD, DCI, SDR, HDR, Dolby Vision, ACES, Stereo, 5.1, and Atmos workflows.

Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Compensation
The hiring range for this position in San Francisco is $108,200–$139,900 per year, plus potential bonus and long‑term incentive units and a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
