Freelance Reporter, responsible for producing local news, politics, and lifestyle content for audiences in South Texas, working approximately 25 hours per week as a contractor.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver 5-8 web stories per week, including original reporting and curated content
Produce 2-4 pieces of social content weekly to support web stories and newsletters
Create content aimed at driving audience growth and newsletter subscriptions across various platforms

Required Qualifications

3+ years of audience-centered local reporting experience
Strong understanding of the Rio Grande Valley and its culture
Experience covering local politics, policy, or government
Proficiency in creating web and social media content
Comfortable appearing on camera and creating video content
