Job Summary
The Office of Experiential Learning (OEL) at the University of Georgia is seeking a Digital Media Intern to support its marketing and communications functions. This temporary undergraduate internship requires 10–20 hours per week, primarily in‑person (Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM), and involves hands‑on responsibilities in social media strategy and general office support.
Responsibilities
Digital Channel Management: administer the Office’s Social Media strategy, manage the Instagram and LinkedIn accounts, align channel strategy with the Office’s overall communications plan, support design of multi‑channel media campaigns, and produce monthly performance reports.
General Clerical Duties: provide general office support, including clerical and administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications
Education: Current enrollment in a UGA undergraduate degree program.
Experience: None required; preference for candidates with experience or coursework in digital marketing, advertising, communications, journalism, media, or graphic design. Experience in videography and video content creation is desirable.
Skills: Excellent written and oral communication, strong organizational and project management abilities, basic graphic‑design skills, and a solid working knowledge of Instagram and LinkedIn.
Preferred Technical Skills: Microsoft Excel, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Adobe Design, and experience executing digital campaign strategies.
Physical Demands
This position is a temporary, part‑time internship requiring 10–20 hours weekly. No driving, no direct interaction with minors or patients, and no security or financial access responsibilities. A background investigation, including a criminal background check and, if applicable, a credit check, is required for hiring.
