At Credence, we support our clients’ mission‑critical needs, powered by technology. We provide cutting‑edge solutions, including AI/ML, enterprise modernization, and advanced intelligence capabilities, to the largest defense and health federal organizations. Through partnership and trust, we increase mission success for war‑fighters and secure our nation for a better future.
We are privately held, are repeatedly recognized as a top place to work, and have been on the Inc. 5000 Fastest Growing Private Companies list for the last 12 years. We have an immediate need for a hands‑on Front End UI/UX Developer to work on the transformation of enterprise applications that have struggled with user adoption. This is not a greenfield role — you'll be handed real products with real friction, and your mandate is to diagnose why users aren't engaging and rebuild experiences that they actually want to use. You'll work at the intersection of design, engineering, and data, embedding your work into AI/ML, analytics, and cloud‑native platforms.
User Adoption & Experience Strategy
Audit existing applications to identify adoption barriers through heuristic analysis, user research, and behavioral data
Define and drive UX strategy for modernization efforts, translating insights into measurable improvements in engagement and task completion
Champion accessibility and inclusive design (WCAG 2.1 AA compliance) as a non‑negotiable baseline
Front‑End Engineering
Architect and build performant, responsive interfaces using React/Next.js with TypeScript
Experience with Sonatype Nexus Repository Manager for managing build artifacts, enforcing dependency policies, and supporting secure DevSecOps pipelines
Develop reusable component libraries and design systems that scale across multiple products
Integrate data visualization layers (D3.js, Chart.js, or similar) into dashboards that make complex data actionable
Write clean, maintainable code with proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript, and supporting scripting languages (Python, etc.)
Dashboard & Data Visualization
Design and build interactive dashboards surfacing AI/ML outputs, analytics, and operational metrics
Collaborate with data engineers and ML teams to ensure visualizations are accurate, performant, and meaningful to end users
Collaboration & Delivery
Partner with product managers, backend engineers, and stakeholders to move from problem definition to shipped product
Contribute to code reviews, CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git), and agile ceremonies (JIRA)
Clearly communicate design rationale and technical tradeoffs to both technical and non‑technical audiences
AI/ML
Experience with modeling AI‑augmented development practices using tools like GitHub Copilot or Cursor as part of your standard workflow
Hands‑on experience with AI coding assistants as a genuine productivity multiplier, with the judgment to use them effectively on complex, real‑world codebase
Qualifications
5+ years of hands‑on experience in UI/UX design and front‑end development, with a portfolio demonstrating measurable impact on user experience
