Company Overview Tarrytown Expocare Pharmacy is a long-term care pharmacy that provides specialized care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout the United States. Since 2007, the company has expanded from an independent retail pharmacy, Tarrytown Pharmacy, serving the local community since 1941, to a multi-state long‑term care pharmacy solution.
Role Summary We are seeking an Account Manager to maintain existing Tarrytown Expocare client relationships for services provided from our pharmacy locations. This includes agencies in New Jersey and surrounding markets. Account Managers serve as a liaison between our pharmacy operations and the agencies (clients) we serve to ensure consistency of services, troubleshoot concerns, provide trainings, and ensure client satisfaction and retention. The role involves client onboarding to enhance collaboration between client, sales, and the pharmacy team, and support client needs through the onboarding process. The position is field‑based, requiring approximately 80% travel.
Responsibilities Build and maintain a trusted relationship with assigned accounts and agency staff.
Visit client locations throughout the pharmacy service area and provide pharmacy service audits and training in a collaborative and supportive manner.
Document findings in pharmacy CRM tool, submit daily reports via email to designated pharmacy contacts.
Understand the services and scope of the pharmacy to effectively communicate with the account about pharmacy processes.
Resolve complaints and grievances related to the pharmacy services in conjunction with the pharmacy team.
Assist in educating clients on the pharmacy’s processes.
Be an innovative liaison by discussing ideas with pharmacy staff on how to effectively meet the demands of our consumers.
Participate and actively engage in professional meetings, conferences, and other sponsored events as may be requested.
Manage complex client concerns and requests in a professional manner to ensure appropriate resolution and adequate follow‑up.
Required Qualifications Certified Pharmacy Tech (CPhT) or experience in a related field or equivalent years of experience, or minimum 3+ years as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) or Qualified Developmental Disabilities Professional (QDDP).
Working knowledge and/or ability to learn pharmacy applications such as FrameWorkLTC, ECM, or DocuTrack preferred.
Familiarity with electronic and paper medication administration records (MARs).
Reliable transportation and current (clean) driver’s license. Frequent travel is required.
Basic computer proficiency including email and other programs (e.g., Microsoft suite products).
Detail‑oriented individual who thrives in fast‑paced situations.
Experience leading a team in a metrics‑based environment.
Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and verbal communication).
High school diploma required; college experience is a plus.
Must be a US citizen or permanent resident; sponsorship not available.
