Job Summary/Basic Function
The graphic designer reports directly to the Student Digital Media Manager or a designated student supervisor in Syc Creations, the student group that produces client-driven videos, manages in-house websites and develops sites for clients, and offers graphic design services for Student Media.

Job Duties
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The graphic designer will be involved in all aspects of multimedia production, including both digital media and traditional print and electronic media. Duties include:
1) Produce or assist in the production of multimedia content for campus and off-campus clients and for Student Media groups.
2) Participate in planning of multimedia projects.
3) Offer traditional graphic design services such as logos, branding, and messaging through posters, etc.
4) Listen to clients and offer suggestions and guidance on the best way to meet client needs and expectations.
5) Maintain regular work hours to complete all projects within allotted time.
6) Work in a team environment with others involved in some aspect of Syc Creations.
7) Participate in and contribute to a culture of innovation in delivery of multimedia content through various Student Media outlets.
8) Collaborate with students in other Student Media units.
9) Other work as assigned by the Student Digital Media Manager or Student Lead, possibly including work related to social media, webmastering, or video production.
The graphic designer in Syc Creations should expect to work 10 hours per week during the fall and spring academic terms, with the possibility of employment during summer and semester breaks. The schedule will be determined by work needs and in consultation with the Student Digital Media Manager.
Some experience with Adobe Creative Suite is highly preferred. A background in graphic design is a plus.
