Responsibilities

Manage the development cycle under the guidance of senior executives.

Creatively collaborate on creative direction, trends, colors, and materials.

Contribute ideas for design, construction, compounds, and components to enhance functionality, aesthetics, and fit.

Execute new collections, focusing on construction and upper pattern details.

Organize and submit sample specifications for seasonal development.

Adhere to development milestones and communicate clearly to ensure timely design execution.

Confirm final production samples and assist with production quality issues as needed.

Collaborate with development partners to source new materials.

Order and track sample shipments while maintaining seasonal material spreadsheets and tracking inventory levels.

Manage material samples and maintain organized display boards and embellishment options.

Review production materials and coordinate with suppliers to resolve quality issues.

Excellent communication skills, with experience conveying technical product details to non-native English speakers (written and verbal).

Qualifications and Requirements

3+ years of footwear experience in development, design, and/or merchandising.

Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion, Design, or a related product merchandising field.

Ability to work in Greenwich, CT office.

Occasional flex days at the NYC showroom may be available depending on seasonality and team scheduling.

Ability to travel to Europe and Asia for extended periods to develop seasonal collections.
