-As the

Chatham Choir Assistant , you will be helping the choral director withe day-to-day rehearsal process. Leading sectionals, organizing and distributing music, maintaining the choral library, and assisting in event marketing. This position is typically divided into two, 1. assists more with the choral library, music organization end 2. event marketing, social media, and student recruiting

Qualified candidates for the Chatham Choir Student Assistant/Accompanist should demonstrate an:

-Ability to read music and knowledge of choral octavo score

-Assist director with administrative choral organization

-Lead sectionals

-Assist with event execution and marketing

-Availability during Chatham Choir rehearsals M/W's 4:30-6pm, and additional hours and concerts

-$11/hour Tier II

Learning Outcomes:

-Gain experience in music business/ensemble production

-Concert event planning and production

-A foundation of choral music education and choral library structure

-Experience in marketing and recruiting

All current student employees should notify their other manager(s) if you work multiple jobs on campus at the same time. Additionally, students may not work more than 20 hours per week (combined between all campus jobs) during the academic year. Students may not exceed 980 work hours per calendar year.

Student jobs do not automatically roll over to the next academic year or summer.
