Job Description
The Marketing Manager will play a critical leadership role in supporting the firm’s growth, brand positioning, and pursuit strategy across multiple technical divisions. This individual will oversee proposal development, marketing operations, and knowledge management initiatives while partnering closely with executive leadership, technical teams, and business development stakeholders.
The ideal candidate is a highly organized and strategic marketing professional with strong experience managing complex RFP/RFQ pursuits within the AEC industry. This role requires exceptional communication skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, and a proactive approach to improving marketing systems, processes, and team performance.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Marketing & Business Development Support
Partner with executive leadership and division leaders to support firmwide marketing and business development initiatives
Help translate strategic growth objectives, market priorities, and pursuit opportunities into actionable marketing efforts
Support positioning strategies for prime and subconsultant pursuits across engineering, land surveying, construction management, and related technical disciplines
Assist with market research, competitor analysis, and pursuit tracking efforts
Proposal & Pursuit Management
Lead the full lifecycle of proposal and qualification submissions, including RFQs, RFPs, SOQs, presentations, and interview materials
Coordinate with technical staff, leadership, and external partners to gather and organize proposal content
Develop compelling, accurate, and client-focused proposal narratives and marketing materials
Ensure all submissions meet client requirements, deadlines, and quality standards
Maintain proposal schedules, compliance matrices, and submission tracking systems
Marketing Operations & Knowledge Management
Oversee and continuously improve the firm’s centralized marketing knowledge hub and resource library
Maintain accurate and organized resumes, project sheets, boilerplate language, templates, certifications, and pursuit materials
Implement and improve marketing processes, tools, templates, and workflow efficiencies
Support CRM data management and overall marketing organization standards
Team Leadership & Collaboration
Manage, mentor, and support marketing team members and direct reports
Assist with workload planning, proposal assignments, quality reviews, and day-to-day team coordination
Foster collaboration between marketing, technical, and administrative teams
Support professional development and continuous improvement initiatives within the department
Branding & External Communications
Support firm branding and external communication efforts across multiple platforms
Assist with website updates, social media coordination, presentations, brochures, flyers, and promotional materials
Help ensure consistency in branding, messaging, and visual standards across all marketing materials
Job Requirements
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in proposal coordination, marketing, business development, or related roles within the AEC industry preferred
Strong experience managing complex proposal submissions and fast-paced deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong editing and proofreading abilities
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously
Experience supervising or mentoring team members preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required
Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop preferred
Experience with CRM systems, Deltek, or marketing databases is a plus
