Music Association Advisor

Music Association Director

Cooperstown Central School District is seeking a dedicated and organized Music Association Director to serve as the advisor and coordinator for performing arts support at the Middle/High School level. This individual will work closely with music faculty, students, and families to enhance and support the music program through fundraising, community engagement, and student advocacy.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the advisor to all Middle/High School performing arts groups.
Coordinate and oversee fundraising activities for band and choir programs.
Maintain accurate records of funds collected and disbursed.
Collaborate with music directors on fundraising plans, policies, and extracurricular initiatives.
Foster a strong team spirit within the Music Association to support a thriving student performing arts community.
Promote awareness of the Association's activities to the public and school community.
Encourage and facilitate active parent involvement in the school's music program.
Qualifications:
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Experience with fundraising and financial recordkeeping.
Ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and families.
Interest in or background in music education, performing arts, or arts advocacy is preferred.
Commitment to supporting student growth and success in the performing arts.
Availability for after-school, evening, and occasional weekend events.
Prior experience working with school associations, booster clubs, or volunteer organizations is a plus.
