Commercial Lines Support Role

This position is somewhat unique in the traditional commercial lines production and service team structure. This role will primarily support the account manager preparing submissions on select accounts (large) for our carrier placement strategist (marketer). Additionally, this role will support the producer and account manager on new business submissions and utilize tools and resources to gain more underwriting insight on that account. This role will not have any direct communication with insureds (clients and prospects) and will be directly involved in the marketing and pre-binding process and instrumental in winning new business and client retention. This role offers significant growth potential as you develop expertise in complex commercial accounts and build relationships with our carrier partners. What success looks like: reducing account manager submission prep time by 50% and creating unit capacity for new business.
Responsibilities:

Help prepare components of a complete marketing submission at the direction of the account manager as follows:
Review Acord and supplemental applications for completeness and accuracy
Prepare loss summary and engage with HUB claims advocates for claims updates as needed
Build and/or improve schedule of values (SOV), vehicle schedule, schedule of locations/exposures for liability
Run building replacement cost reports (CoreLogic commercial express)
Run RiskMeter for crime scores and flood zone determinations
Run PIAL report
Become proficient with carrier websites and help with online quoting when needed primarily with flood, workers' comp, small commercial business owners policy, equipment breakdown, HUB SMART portal, cyber and owners contractors protective
Document communication and work in marketing shared file and/or EPIC depending on protocol
Support marketer with maintaining marketing sheets and critical path
Support account manager in preparation of proposal and any presentation documents
Help producer with preparing placemats and HUB collateral for prospect meeting
Attend weekly unit meetings, critical path meetings and key carrier meetings

Ability to navigate online programs used to store information for clients, customers, and stakeholders.
Ability to maintain confidentiality, honesty, and ethical standards.
Education/experience requirements:

Bachelor's degree in either business management, finance, risk management and insurance, or marketing and communications is preferred but not required
High school diploma required
Willingness to obtain property and casualty license and relevant insurance designations
Minimum of 2 years of commercial or personal lines insurance experience
Working knowledge of agency management systems (Epic experience is a plus)
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Excellent analytical, problem solving and conflict resolution skills
