Job Summary
Pumpkin
is seeking an analytical, creative, and growth-focused Senior Marketing Manager – CRM to lead our CRM efforts and develop our lifecycle marketing strategy from lead capture through retention. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, you will play a pivotal role in setting the direction and vision for the channel. Because email is a core acquisition channel for Pumpkin, this role requires someone ready to dig into the details and build out our email acquisition capabilities and develop our retention plans.
Job Location:
Hybrid – New York, NY, with a minimum requirement of 2 days a week in the New York City office.
Main Responsibilities
Define and develop a comprehensive CRM strategy that effectively converts pet insurance and wellness leads into lifelong customers.
Own the email channel entirely, from strategy and calendar management to execution, deployment, and performance analytics.
Manage the content strategy to move leads down the funnel, increasing engagement and referral activity among existing customers. Develop briefs for our creative team who will write and design the majority of our email content.
Launch and scale SMS and other CRM channels to drive policy growth and enhance the existing customer experience, including customer engagement, satisfaction, loyalty, and retention.
Utilize A/B testing methods to rigorously optimize messaging, subject lines, and audience segmentation to improve conversion rates.
Apply a data-driven mindset to analyze large datasets, monitor KPIs (specifically new customer acquisition), and generate actionable recommendations.
Work effectively with design and marketing teams to implement strategies, and work with our growth team to ensure the health and effectiveness of the technical components of our CRM stack.
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of experience developing and executing DTC email and multi-channel marketing campaigns with a proven track record of driving new customer acquisition.
Deep expertise in acquisition marketing and developing lead nurture series for considered products (insurance, healthcare, etc.) that require education before purchase.
A rigorous, data-driven mindset with strong Excel skills and the ability to leverage metrics to inform strategy.
The ability to manage technical aspects (platform setup, troubleshooting) while contributing to creative strategy.
You must love dogs and/or cats!
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced HTML and CSS coding skills for email template troubleshooting.
Creative skills, including design and copywriting experience.
Familiarity with multiple email platforms, especially Iterable
