About the Role:
We’re looking for a skilled Rheumatology/Dermatology Editor. This role combines medical news editing with feature reporting and writing, ensuring content is accurate, clear, and highly relevant for physician audiences. You’ll collaborate with a fast-moving editorial team and report to the Executive Editor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assign and edit rheumatology/dermatology news articles for a physician audience.
- Pitch and write feature stories with fresh, creative angles.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to develop engaging newsletters and promotional content.
- Work with operations teams to ensure timely publication of content.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in English, biology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of health content editing and writing experience.
- Extensive knowledge of rheumatology and dermatology.
- Experience assigning stories to freelancers and editing for accuracy, balance, and relevance.
- Ability to write deep-dive or investigative stories.
- Detail-oriented, deadline-focused, and reliable.
- Strong communication skills to translate medical jargon for a broader audience.
- Flexibility and creativity to thrive in a competitive multimedia news environment.
